The Reasons You Should Eat Takoyaki Once in Your Life

The Appeareance of Takoyaki
It was at Bunkasai, a Japanese Cultural festival when I ate Takoyaki for the first time. Takoyaki comes from “Tako” which mean is Octopus and “Yaki” which mean is roast. We were going to an exhibition area when on the way into that place, we saw a small stand which was selling takoyaki. The mixed smell of broth, oil, butter, onion, and garlic were spreading among the stand and passing to tease our sense of smell. So, we were approaching that small stand and bought some takoyaki then ate it immediately. In my opinion, this food was unique but also tasty.

Katsuobushi
First, There is toping from Takoyaki which makes it can be tasty food. The toping called Katsuobushi. It makes takoyaki can be crunchy and salty at the same time because of the sliced Katsuo. Katsuo is a dried, fermented, and smoked tuna. Not only the sliced Katsuo but also there is Takoyaki Sauce, it made from mayonnaise and soy sauce that can present a melting sensation in our mouth when we chew it.
Octopus filling. One of My Favorite

Next, there are so many takoyaki fillings that make you don't have a reason to get boring with Takoyaki. Takoyaki can presented by so many variants like an original taste, beef, octopus, cheese, or egg. There is no filling in original taste and only the main ingredients of takoyaki. However, beef filling present buttery and savory flavor in mouth, octopus filling presented bland, soft and chewy texture more like a chicken or clams flavor, and my favorite flavor is cheese because it has an umami taste when present a sweet, sour, bitter, and salty at the same time. Moreover, you can mix all of it in one box, or you can fill it only with one variant if you have a favorite one.

With all of the tastiness that mixed in a ball-shaped lump of flour can make this food the most favorite and delicious Japanese culinary for many people.
